Dermoscopy is an imaging instrument that magnifies surface and sub surface features of skin. Dermascopy can be a hand held magnifier or it can also be attached to a computer for videodermoscoping. They can be used for investigate as well diagnose multiple skin disorders. Dermoscopy of scalp is known as trichoscopy.
