Light emitting diode sources emits light at different wavelength that penetrates at different depth and causes various reactions in the skin. It produces red light, yellow light, and blue light and near infrared light.

Red light is used for wound healing, photodamage, non melanoma skin cancers, premalignant lesions, wart and oral mucositis in cancer patients.



Yellow light is mainly used for photoaging. Blue light is for acne and other superficial lesions. Infrared light used to treat ulcer, scleroderma and cellulite. Combination of LED lights is used for better outcome.
