SUBCISION
It is minor surgical procedure using a needle inserted through a puncture in the skin. This procedure is to break the fibrotic strands which hold the scar to subcutaneous tissue. The depression is released by the to and fro movement of needle and new collagen is formed during the course of wound healing leading to cosmetic improvement of the scar. It is usually performed under local anesthesia.
