Q Switched Nd Yag Laser

The Q switched Nd:YAG laser is commonly used in dermatology clinics to treat various pigmentary disorders and for tattoo removal, it also tightens the collagen which improves certain types of rhytides and other signs of photo damage.

Depending on the tattoo, Temporary tattoo will disappear by itself but laser can be used for faster removal of tattoo. Permanent tattoo can be removed depending on the ink used and whether it is done by professional or not. Multi-color tattoo needs different lasers for removal.
Depending on whether the tattoo is permanent or temporary and what pigment has been used and whether the tattoo is done by professional or not. Most permanent tattoos require 8 to 12 sitting and 3 to 4 sittings for temporary tattoos done at monthly interval.
No permanent side effects are noted. Redness, scabbing, pigmentation and mild discomfort can occur.
There will be gradual loss of pigment with each sitting. Visible results are seen after 2 to 3 sittings.
No alternate treatment for tattoo removal without scaring.
